Detroit's electronic music festival (DEMF) a.k.a. "Movement festival" is the official start of the summer for those interested in a diverse line up of electronic dance music.  This annual three-day event held during Memorial Day weekend celebrates Detroit's electronic music legacy. The festival takes place inside Hart Plaza - Detroit's iconic riverfront park. 

Since 2001, The Chicago Star has covered Memorial Day weekend at the festival itself and dozens of after parties showcasing the art of nightlife.
